Cranberries and Oranges are two of my favorite holiday flavors, and these cookies are packed with them! They don’t disappoint!

So let me tell you. I am OBSESSED with these cookies. They look pretty innocent, but they aren’t. They are so freaking delicious! By far, it’s my new favorite Christmas cookie to make!

The brightness of the orange zest, in combination with the cranberries, makes these cookies perfect for the holidays!

I’m so happy to share this holiday cookie recipe with you today! I love classic holiday cookies, but sometimes, you need something a little more festive, and these Cranberry Orange Cookies fit the bill.

They are simple to throw together in only one bowl and have the perfect amount of soft, tangy goodness. Lovely and light, just how I like my cookies.

They’re also perfect for the busy holidays because you can make up the cookie dough, set it in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, and bake it when you have more time.

I dipped them in white chocolate for that extra sweet bite and pretty presentation. No one can resist them!

How to make Cranberry Orange Cookies Dipped in White Chocolate:

  • In a large bowl, cream together butter, sugar, and orange zest. When it’s well combined, add the egg yolk and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • Add the salt and flour and mix until combined.
  • Add the cranberries. Use your hands to knead the dough until it comes together and forms a ball. Work the dough until it comes together.

  • Shape dough into a log about two inches in diameter and 8 to 9 inches long. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for two hours or longer.

  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Cut slices of cookie dough about 1/3 inch thick. If one side of the log is flat, roll it a little to make it round again.
  • Bake for 12-14 minutes, until barely golden at the bottom edges. Let the cookies cool.
  • Melt the white chocolate wafers (follow the instructions on the package). Dip half of the cookie into the melted chocolate and place them on parchment to set. And Enjoy!

If you love the smell of freshly baked cookies in your home, you will love the cranberry and orange aroma. The orange zest and cranberries give off wonderful fragrances. How something smells is just as important as how it looks and tastes, to me anyway. And these smells are incredible.

Continuing the holiday cookie fun is Brendt from She Gave it a Go with her Festive Christmas: 3-Step Iced Sugar Cookies, head on over to her blog to snag the recipe! I know, I am!

Happy Baking and Happy Holidays!
