Easter Chicks Chocolate Covered Pears

INGREDIENTS
- 3 Small Pears
- 1 10 oz bag of Ghirardelli White Vanilla Flavored Melting Wafers
- 1 Carrot
- Yellow food coloring
- Black writing gel
INSTRUCTIONS
- Start by washing the pears and pat them dry.
- In a small microwaveable mixing bowl, melt chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring at each interval until fully melted. Add yellow food coloring and stir until smooth.
- Then hold the pear by the stem and carefully dip them into the melted chocolate. Place the pears onto a plate with parchment paper to cool. Let the chocolate set for at least 10 minutes.
- Add two eyes using the black writing food gel.
- Peel a carrot and cut a small triangle for the beak and six rectangles for the feet. Connect the carrot beak and feet to the pear using the extra melted chocolate.
Tip:
- Make sure you buy pears that have stems. This way, it’s easier to dip into the chocolate.
- You can make three pears for every 10 oz bag of Ghirardelli White Vanilla Flavored Melting Wafers.
