Peach Iced Tea Recipe
This will be our first summer in San Diego, CA and it’s getting hot! I knew I was going to enjoy living in Southern California, I didn’t expect to love it as much as I do right now! Our kids have overcome big challenges with all the moving around we do. They’ve had to change schools, make new friends around the world, adapt to new cultures, and through it all, they make the best of it all. It truly warms my heart seeing them make new friends and enjoy this crazy military lifestyle. It’s been 9 months since our last move from Japan and the kids have fully adjusted to the SoCal living style and so have I. We have a small backyard that needs work, to be honest, the yard wasn’t high on my list to work on. The weather here is great and the beach is literally right down the road so I feel like I need to take full advantage of it! Now I’m focused on getting the yard ready for some summer fun and I place where we can enjoy a refreshing cold glass of ice tea!
Today I’m sharing a delicious Peach Iced Tea recipe that I love! You will also find 23 refreshing summer recipes at the end of this post.
Peach Iced Tea
Ingredients:
PEACH SIMPLE SYRUP:
- 2 peaches, thinly sliced
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of water
PEACH ICED TEA:
- 2 family size tea bags
- fresh mint
- peaches for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, bring sugar, water, and peaches to a boil.
- Stir to dissolve sugar.
- Remove from heat and mash peaches with the back of a spoon to muddle.
- Cover and allow to sit for 20 minutes. When finished, strain through mesh to remove peach parts.
- Meanwhile, prepare tea according to package directions.
- To serve, add peach simple syrup to the tea to taste and garnish with fresh peaches and mint leaves!
How cute are these long wooden spoons I bought in Japan! These iced-beverage spoons are perfect for stirring sugar in cold beverages served in a tall glass and I just adore the darling starfish that simply screams summer!

I’m so glad to hear you and your kids have adjusted to San Diego. We visited there last summer and thought it was so beautiful. Your ice tea looks so refreshing. Beautiful photos, too, wish I could grab one from my screen.

Definitely going to give this a try. I LOVE peaches! And, how lucky are you to be able to enjoy the sunny California weather. We have beautiful summers here in Alberta, but our cold weather lasts way too long. ENJOY!
