Ingredients

  • 2 boxes Pillsbury Premade Refrigerated Pie Crusts
  • 1 can Duncan Hines Comstock Comstock Blueberry Pie Filling And Topping

Egg Wash

  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tbsp Water

Instructions

  • Make your bat cutout. You want to start by drawing your bat shape on a piece of parchment paper, if you have a big enough cookie cutter that works as well! I didn't have a bat cookie cutter so I simply drew a bat shape on a piece of parchment paper, cut it out, and used it as a stencil.
  • Trace bat onto pie crust. Roll out the pie crust and trace over bat template onto it. You’ll need two cutouts per bat.
  • Bat eyes. With a baking piping tip, cut out eyes. You can hand cut them as well using a knife.
  • Add filling. Add filling to pie crusts. A little goes a long way. Lightly pat water around the edges with your finger and place crust with eye cutouts on top of the filling. Pat the edges of the pie together.
  • Seal the edges. With a fork, lightly press around the edges of the bat, this will seal the edges.
  • Egg wash. Transfer the pies to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Then brush the top of the pies with egg wash.
  • Bake. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes, until golden brown. Eat warm or cool down before serving.
