Easter Brunch For Two
As we are getting ready for another PCS move, I find myself clinging to things more than ever. We moved to Japan three years ago with very few things, and now I have to make yet another sacrifice and let go of the things I’ve bought throughout the three years here. It’s always a challenge and overwhelming processes to pack your home up and go. I consider myself to be independent and I can deal with the stress of moving around the world or the husband being deployed or gone for months at a time. It’s not the move I’m stressing about it’s the leaving our belongings behind. Each branch of service has different weight limits when it comes to moving and different destinations where they send you to. Since we are getting ready to leave we have sold a lot of our things, so I had to make do with what I have now for this Easter Tablescape. I hope you enjoy it and I hope this inspires you to create something beautiful with a few simple things you may have at home.
I also wanted to Thank Bre over at Rooms FOR Rent for hosting this Spring Tablescape Tour! You can find more Spring Tablescape inspirations at the end of the post as well as the direct links, so be sure to check them out!
I decided to do a simple Easter Brunch setting for two. Why, Two? My husband and I don’t spend to much time “alone” the kids are always with us and we are always doing something together as a family. Let’s face it, my husband and I deserve a quiet brunch lol.
Since I’ve been selling a lot of our things, I decided to buy some cherry blossom branches. I could have purchased a beautiful selection of flowers but, I thought the cherry blossoms were more appropriate for this setting, plus it’s our last Easter in Japan, and they love celebrating Cherry Blossom season.
I went to a local Japanese bakery and bought a few pastries, am I sure going to miss the bakeries here!
These little blue speckled eggs that I painted many many moons ago have been traveling the world with us. They have been the only “Easter” decor that I’ve kept throughout the years and moves. Soon they will be packed up again for another long journey.
With just a few plates, eggs, and pastries you can create a lovely brunch setting.
How darling are these wooden heart spoons? I bought them this year, and I adore them, definitely adding them to my keep pile.
I hope you enjoyed this simple table setting, it’s not much, but I have to work with what I have 🙂 Don’t forget to check out more inspiration below!

I definitely remember those military weight restrictions for moves. So hard! What a lovely table you have created! The pinks and faint blues are gorgeous together with those cherry blossoms. Best of luck with your next move!

ShelleyGotta love those weight restrictions! We’ve made it work somehow, but it’s becoming to take a toll on me, I don’t like starting over. I’m so glad you like my simple take on an Easter table hehe Have a wonderful weekend, Shelley!! xoxo
